This course is for Azure Administrators. The Azure Administrator implements, manages, and monitors identity, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks in a cloud environment.


This course equips IT professionals with the core skills required to administer Microsoft Azure environments. You will learn to:

  • Manage Azure subscriptions and resource governance.

  • Secure and administer identities with Microsoft Entra ID.

  • Design and secure virtual networks

  • Implement hybrid connectivity (Azure ↔ on-premises)

  • Control network traffic, routing, and security

  • Deploy and optimise storage solutions.

  • Provision, scale, and manage virtual machines

  • Implement PaaS web apps and container workloads.

  • Configure backup, recovery, and data protection

  • Monitor performance, security, and cost across resources

Day 1: Manage Identities and Governance

Core identity, users/groups, subscriptions, policy, RBAC, and foundational governance.

  • Configure Microsoft Entra ID

  • Configure user and group accounts

  • Configure subscriptions

  • Configure Azure Policy

  • Configure role-based access control (Labs: Entra ID join/SSPR, bulk users/groups, policy initiatives, RBAC assignments)


Day 2: Azure Administration Tools and Resource Management

Tools for managing resources, ARM fundamentals, templates, and organization.

  • Configure Azure resources with tools (portal, Cloud Shell, PowerShell, CLI)

  • Use Azure Resource Manager

  • Configure resources with Azure Resource Manager templates (Labs: Azure CLI/PowerShell exercises, create resource groups/locks, deploy ARM/Bicep templates, Quickstarts)


Day 3: Virtual Networking

Core networking, security, DNS, connectivity, routing, and load balancing.

  • Configure virtual networks

  • Configure network security groups

  • Configure Azure DNS

  • Configure Azure Virtual Network peering

  • Configure network routing and endpoints

  • Configure Azure Load Balancer
